Chiswick House Coach Update – Farewell to Filipe and Welcome to Alberto

Filipe, who has been the Lead House Coach at ESC Chiswick for many years, will be leaving the club this July to pursue new ventures.

Filipe has contributed immensely to the club throughout his time with us. He first joined in 2013 as a cover Coach, before stepping into the Lead House Coach role at Chiswick in 2014. From 2015 to 2022, he also served as a permanent Squad Coach and has been involved in coaching within our Masters section as well.

Under Filipe’s leadership, Chiswick House has grown and achieved great success in competitions. Many swimmers have also progressed from House to our Squad section thanks to his guidance and dedication.

Filipe will be greatly missed by swimmers, parents, and staff alike. We would like to thank him for his hard work and the commitment and he has given to the club and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.

We are also pleased to announce that Alberto, who has worked closely alongside Filipe at Chiswick, will be taking over as Lead Coach from Monday, 1st September.

Alberto brings great experience, enthusiasm, and a strong connection to the Chiswick team. His previous roles have included Coaching roles at Barnes SC.  We are confident that his leadership will continue the success and growth within the programme. Over the coming weeks, Alberto will work closely with Filipe to ensure a smooth transition into his new role.

We at ESC would like to thank Filipe for all his hard work, passion and in making a big contribution to the club’s and swimmer’s successes over the past 12 years.
