The qualifying window for the 2026 Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships and Home Nation Summer Meets will open on Friday 6th March and run through to Sunday 10th May. Last Sunday, November 16th, we proudly held our first-ever House Championship featuring the combined talents of Acton, St Helens, and Northolt. Middlesex swimmers were out in force at the 2025 County Team Championships in Sheffield, helping Middlesex secure an impressive 6th place overall – the County’s best result in several years. The squad, made up of swimmers, coaches, officials and team managers, travelled north on Saturday morning, stopping at Loughborough University for a short land and pool training session before continuing to Sheffield. A first-class new leisure centre moved closer to becoming reality this week as demolition of the old Gurnell Leisure Centre began. Following approval by Ealing Council’s planning committee in January and the Greater London Authority this month, the removal of the old building will allow construction of a new, landmark leisure centre. New Safeguarding Swim England Safeguarding and Welfare course for Adults This free online training session has been designed to give a basic understanding of safeguarding, welfare and best practice for adults within an aquatic environment. The course is aimed at parents, guardians or those who volunteer in a role that does not require a DBS and want to improve their understanding of the topic.
